Some women when they become pregnant, can develop diabetes, otherwise known as gestastional diabetes. This just means that you become diabetic for the duration of your pregnancy.
Most times it will go away once the baby is born but sometimes it can continue afterwards. Other women are already diabetic when they fall pregnant.
